Don't let this park's name deceive you- despite the "mountain" in the title, the park's highest point is only 325 feet above sea level. Medoc Mountain is what remains of a mountain range caused by volcanic activity in the Paleozoic Age, about 350 million years ago.
So, while the park has an interesting history, it is not apparently obvious. There are no peaks or panoramic views, nor any hikes that feel like climbing a mountain. All I encountered was an abundance of ticks and a snake somewhere along the trail.
