Short and sweet.
Pettigrew is a great place to get away from everything, enjoy complete quiet and see the stars with very little light pollution. It has great bird watching opportunities and some good fishing points. It has a unique bay lake, and not a lot of traffic.
It also is buggy, small, way out there, and the campsite (as seen near my car in the picture series) leaves more to be desired.
The park staff was great. They have an interesting (yet small) museum/park office. Worth a stop if you’re in the area. Don’t bother driving around the lake- just see what you can see from the main access area unless you plan on fishing from another point.
